Massaya Wine Dinner at Zahira

We’ve teamed up with Zahira Restaurant and Massaya Winery to present a four-course wine dinner paired with seven wines!
Chef Greg Malouf will be present to present his show-stopping modern Lebanese cuisine and Ramzi Ghosn, one of the founding brothers of Massaya, will be there so share the fruits of his labour (literally) with us.
Each course is expertly paired with a Chateau Massaya wine…or three. That’s right, there will be two vertical tastings at this dinner which will allow you taste different vintages of the same wine side-by-side.
Welcome drink of Zahira’s own brand of wine made by Chateau Massaya.
Sticky veal shank broth with zaatar leaves and wild mushroom manti French quail in dukkah crumbs, almond tarator sauce, Warm potato salad, smokey paprika and saffron dressing.
Paired with Massaya Terrasses De Baalbeck 2012.
Ras kibbeh – ground lamb and burghul stuffed with cinnamon butter Freekeh with fried cauliflower.
Paired with a vertical tasting of Massaya Reserve Gold Label 1999 and 2005.
Malouf’s Musakhan – French chicken baked in saj bread with melting onions and sumac Feta spinach with purple shallots and Turkish chilli .
Paired with a Vertical Wine Tasting of Massaya Silver Selection 2001, 2006 and 2009.
Chocolate Mahalabia – Lebanese style milk chocolate pudding, Arabic coffee cream and crystals.
