New Zealand Wine Tasting Challenge

Middle Earth may be best known for their ales, honey cakes and second breakfasts’ but their wines are world class too – and generally labeled as being from New Zealand 🙂 Come try your luck at identifying six mystery wines and learn about several NZ regions and top grape varieties. Our sommelier will give some helpful hints making this a fun tasting for both wine novices who just want to find a wine they enjoy and talented drinkers who want to put their hard-earned skills to the test. How it Works: We sit at social tables of 10. Six different covered mystery bottles of wine are shared by everyone at the table. We’ll teach some tips on tasting like a pro, and give some insight into the evening’s theme. Everyone will then have some time to taste the mystery wines and try to guess what they are using the clues provided. After everyone tastes all the wines we will vote for our favorite, then reveal the wines one by one, getting a lesson on each wine as we peel off their covers. Taste and discuss with everyone at the table, learn about wine, vote and enjoy some snacks and socializing.
