WSET Level 3 Award in Wines

The WSET Level 3 Award in Wines is an advanced qualification designed to provide a deep, analytical understanding of wine. Building significantly on Level 2, this course offers detailed knowledge of vineyard factors, winemaking decisions, regional influences, and how these shape the style, quality, and price of wines from all major wine-producing regions.
You’ll study grape-growing conditions, viticultural practices, winemaking and maturation techniques, as well as wine laws, regional classifications, quality assessment frameworks, and the commercial factors influencing the global wine market.
Throughout the course, you’ll taste over 60 international wines while developing advanced tasting proficiency.
This qualification is ideal for serious wine enthusiasts seeking a structured, internationally recognised programme, as well as industry professionals who require an in-depth understanding of wine for their role. This rigorous course is not suitable for beginners; candidates must have completed WSET Level 2 or possess equivalent knowledge and tasting experience. It is also a prerequisite for those progressing to the WSET Level 4 Diploma.
